Gold Award Zi Gang Bei
Sharon Painter-Arps won a Gold Award at the National Zi Gang Bei Jade Carving Competition and exhibition in Suzhou, China. The carving is called The Temporary Nature of Life. In 2015 she received a Silver Award for Masquerade Mask, shown above.
Earlier in 2016 she received a Highly Commended award in the Lysaght Watt Trust Art Award. The esspresso cup and saucer was carved entirely from Carrara Marble and is titled Daily Shot.
Sharon was a finalist in the Bizarre Bra section in the 2014 WOW show with He Toanga. This is a wearble bra carved from New Zealand Jade pounamu. This piece has been purchased by WOW for the Historic Wow collection.
